Important information about Tramadol 225 MG Tramadol 225 MG is a morphine-like painkiller (opiate) . It has a strong analgesic effect. Doctors prescribe it for sudden or long-lasting severe pain . Sometimes doctors prescribe it for sexual dysfunction (premature ejaculation).
How?
- Regular capsules: Take the capsules with half a glass of water.
- Dissolving tablets (‘disp’ or ‘disper’): Dissolve the tablet in water, stir the mixture and drink it. Then rinse the glass with water and drink that too.
- Long-acting tablets (sustained release, ‘retard’): Swallow the tablets whole with half a glass of water. Do not chew or crush the tablets, as they are designed to dissolve slowly, giving fewer side effects and working for longer.
- Long-acting capsules (sustained release, ‘retard’): Swallow the capsules with half a glass of water. You may also open the capsules before taking them, but do not chew or crush the granules. They are designed to dissolve slowly for reduced side effects and a longer lasting effect.
- Effervescent tablets: Dissolve the effervescent tablet in half a glass of water, wait until the fizzing has stopped and drink the glass empty. Then rinse the glass with a little water and drink that too.
- Suppositories: Insert the suppository into your anus. It does not matter whether the tip points forward or backward. Moisten the suppository with a little water to facilitate insertion.
- Drops: Drip the prescribed number of drops into a glass of water. Drink the entire drink. Then rinse the glass with a little water and drink that too.
When?
It does not matter at what times you use Tramadol 225 MG. Usually the doctor advises to always take this medicine at the same times and not to wait until the pain increases again.
How long?
Use Tramadol 225 MG for as long as your doctor tells you to. If you use this medicine for several months, there is a chance that you will get used to it and will need to gradually reduce it before you can stop completely. Always follow your doctor’s advice.
